Slate Antique Washstand Cabinet

Otherwise known as, A Commode, this piece is a true relic from the days of outdoor plumbing. Rescuing a still solid piece with character is my passion like Woody’s passion to get Forky back to Bonnie. It is satisfying to modernize it with General Finishes Slate chalk paint (discontinued), and save it from being a ‘lost’ piece.

Unique Hardware

The main attraction is the awesome, one-of-a-kind pull handle hardware. It alone is worth the price I paid for the whole piece. It’s highlighted to show off using Rub-n-Buff Spanish Copper color.

Look Inside

If you see it, at Painted Plethora in Jackson, MI, open the drawers and door. Be nicely surprised with baby blue paint inside. No raw wood surfaces that might splinter off making a safe for placing lingerie, hosiery, and other dedicates.
